Development Funding and Contracts
KYAE is pleased to announce that we will issue $1 million in development funds for Fiscal Year 2006-07 in addition to the previously announced $1 million increased appropriation by the General Assembly. Please remember that development funds are non-recurring; therefore, programs are strongly encouraged to use this source of funding to support one-time needs.
Unfortunately, the contracting process has been delayed due to a new state government accounting system, eMARS. KYAE will issue contracts as soon as possible but cannot provide an exact date because of technical issues that must be resolved by the Finance Cabinet. Contracts will include:

Core services and family literacy funding

Development funds
-
Incentive funds, where applicable

Professional development funds at the same level as 2005-06

Corrections and EL/Civics funds, where applicable.
A breakdown of these funding sources by county will be available on the KYAE Web site by the end of the month.
