GED Goal

To date, adult education programs are well on the way to achieving the GED statewide goal of 10,631 for FY 07-08!  Programs are at 85 percent of the goal with a month to go.  This can easily be achieved if one fourth of the candidates needing to retest (2,180) are successful, if incompletes finish and pass (259) or if new candidates are successful in their first attempt.  Please make a concerted effort to encourage and inspire your students to become successful GED candidates.

The New Framework for Adult Education was built around the need for quality time with students to enable them to accomplish their goals and our statewide indicators.  Let’s make this an affirmation of our focus on quality and the New Framework by achieving our federal performance measures, meeting our state GED goal, and, hopefully, putting Kentucky in contention for federal incentive funding.
