VERY URGENT: Adult Ed Needs Your Help

This urgent message is being sent to you by Julie Scoskie, President of KAACE.

We MUST increase our efforts to contact and persuade the members of the budget Conference Committee to reinstate Adult Education funding in the budget for the next biennium!

The Conference Committee is meeting and there is NO movement to restore our funds.

PLEASE take the following steps:

  • Call the Legislative Message Center at 800-372-7181.
  • Ask that the message below be delivered to EVERY legislator on the following list.

·         You support an increase in funds for adult education.

·         This reduction will result in teacher layoffs and fewer students served.

·         The number of GEDs will go down.

·         Fewer people will be prepared for Kentucky’s workforce.

·         PLEASE support adult education and the 786,000 Kentuckians without a high school diploma or a GED.

·         THANK YOU for your past support.

Please deliver this message to:

·         Senator David L. Williams

·         Senator Charlie Borders

·         Senator Katie Stine

·         Senator Dan Kelly

·         Senator Dan Seum

·         Senator Carroll Gibson

·         Senator Ed Worley

·         Senator Johnny Ray Turner

·         Senator Joey Pendleton

·         Rep. Jody Richards

·         Rep. Harry Moberly

·         Rep. Larry Clark

·         Rep. Rocky Adkins

·         Rep. Charlie Hoffman

·         Rep. Rob Wilkey

·         Rep. Jeffrey Hoover

·         Rep. Bob DeWeese

·         Rep. Stan Lee

  • The Message Center will deliver your message to all legislators you identify.
  • Contact any local legislators or leaders you know who support Adult Education and ask them to call to express support for reinstating the Adult Education budget.

We must ACT NOW if we believe in Adult Education and the needs of our students.

If you have questions, please call me at 502-485-3400.

Julie
