Program Director Institute, December 2010

KYAE is sponsoring a Program Director Institute that begins in December 2010.  See PD Requirements for Program Directors.

 

The 2010 KYAE Program Director Institute begins in early December. The institute for Regions 1 and 2 will be presented in Bowling Green by Western Kentucky University (WKU) on December 6 and 7. The institute for Regions 3 and 4 will be presented in Lexington by Morehead State University (MoSU) on December 9 and 10. Lennox McClendon, executive director of National Adult Education Professional Development and the Leadership Excellence Academy, will be the institute’s plenary speaker.

 

Participation is required as follows:

 

·         All counties are required to be represented by a program director.

·         Fiscal agents with multiple counties may determine whether to send one program director to represent all counties or multiple program directors not to exceed one per county.

·         Counties with multiple program directors may send only one program director.

Institute registration

Register through the PD Course Catalog. Select KYAE 108 Program Director Institute—Regions 1-2, Bowling Green.

 

Hotel reservations:

·         KYAE will pay for attendees’ hotel rooms (room and tax only). Other charges are the participant’s responsibility. Attendees are responsible for making their own hotel reservations.

·         To make a hotel reservation, please contact Toni Quire at Toni.Quire@ky.gov or at (502) 573-5114, ext. 113. If you have already made a hotel reservation, please e-mail Toni Quire the reservation confirmation number.

·         If you plan to arrive after 6 p.m., call the hotel and guarantee the room for late arrival. If cancellation is necessary, contact the hotel prior to 6 p.m. on the night of the reservation. If you do not cancel the room and are a no-show, you will be responsible for the expense of the room.

·         Hotel Registration deadline –November 15

During November, WKU or MoSU will contact program directors to complete an online self-assessment. They will analyze the results for planning institute activities.
