Overview of the GED Program in Kentucky

Do you need your GED or know someone who needs their GED? Read and find out how you can get assistance in doing just that!

What is a GED?

Take advantage of all that Kentucky Adult Education learning centers have to offer in order to get a GED or continuing education. A GED is a General Education Development credential for adults who are not high school graduates.

The GED tests measure the educational achievement of adults who are not high school graduates and compares their competency with that of high school graduates.  This battery of tests involves some higher-level thinking skills, including application, analysis, comprehension and evaluation.

The GED can help a person get a better job, further their education or just feel better about themselves. Kentucky Adult Education (KYAE) is here to help guide the process of getting a GED and furthering the pursuit of higher education for all of the Commonwealth's residents.

Below are some helpful links that will help you do just that.
